DPD Track Package

DPD Track Package

Couriers

You can track a DPD package on a local DPD site with your 14-digit parcel number (or, in some countries, a reference + postcode). Ship24 also accepts the same number and shows handovers to partner carriers.

How to track a DPD package

On a DPD country site

  1. Open the local Track & Trace page.
  2. Enter your 14-digit parcel number.
Some forms also support reference + postcode (e.g., UK).
  3. See current status and the expected delivery day or time window.

On Ship24

  1. Go to Ship24.
  2. Paste the same number into the search bar.
  3. View updates across couriers if DPD hands off to a partner.

What you’ll see in tracking

  • Collected / at depot — received and processed for the next leg.
  • In transit — moving between hubs (you may see city or country changes).
  • Out for delivery — with the driver; some countries show a short delivery window on the day.
  • Delivered — completed at the address or to a Pickup point.
  • Customs / paperwork — for cross-border parcels; tracking resumes after clearance.

Change delivery while it’s on the way

In many markets, DPD offers options from the tracking link or app: change the day, select a safe place or a neighbor, or redirect to a Pickup shop/locker. Some countries provide a 1-hour window on the day of delivery.

Find a Pickup point

Need collection instead of home delivery? Use the Pickup finder on your local DPD site to choose a nearby shop or locker and check opening hours.

Troubleshooting

  • Number not found: re-enter the digits with no spaces; most labels use 14 digits. If your card shows a reference, try the form that asks for reference + postcode.
  • No scans yet: try again after the first depot scan; labels created early may not show events immediately.
  • Stuck status: allow 1–2 working days; for international lanes, customs can add time.

Security tip

If you receive a message about fees, verify it on the official DPD site by checking the 14-digit parcel number (and postcode where asked) in Track & Trace before paying.

Where to find your number

  • Order email/SMS from the sender or DPD.
  • Shipping label on the parcel.
  • Not-at-home card (may show a reference for look-ups on local pages).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I track without the parcel number?

Some DPD country sites let you search by reference + postcode (for example, the UK form). Otherwise, you’ll need the 14-digit parcel number from your email, label, or card. Check your local Track & Trace page for the options it supports.

When do tracking updates start?

Events appear after the first scan. This can happen at collection (handheld scan) or at the depot. If you just received a label, try again once the parcel has been scanned.

Can I change the delivery day or address?

In many countries you can change the day, choose a safe place or neighbor, or redirect to a Pickup shop/locker from your tracking link or app. On delivery day, some markets also show a short time window.

What does “Delivered to Pickup parcelshop” mean?

Your parcel is ready to collect at a DPD Pickup point. Bring the code from your message; some countries use a QR “Pickup Pass” instead of ID. Use the Pickup finder on your local DPD site to confirm the address and opening hours.

How long will delivery take?

Timing depends on the route and service. For Europe road shipments, use the delivery time calculator on your local DPD site to see the planned day. International routes may add customs time.

Why is my tracking “stuck”?

Allow 1–2 working days during hub transfers or after a weekend/holiday. Live tracking only appears once the parcel is on the vehicle; otherwise, use standard status updates. If nothing changes for several days, contact DPD with your number.

Is the 1-hour delivery window available everywhere?

It’s offered in selected countries through DPD Predict. You’ll get SMS/email/app alerts with the slot and a link to change delivery options where available.

I received a payment request by text/email. Is it genuine?

Open your local DPD site manually (don’t click links) and check the request by entering your parcel number (and postcode where asked). DPD publishes scam guidance. If in doubt, verify before you pay.
