Ship24 Order Tracking for Google Sheets

Ship24 Order Tracking is a Google Sheets add-on that allows users to create and manage shipment trackers directly within a Google spreadsheet.

When a user manually triggers an action within the add-on, the following data may be processed:

  • Shipment tracking numbers
  • Shipment reference information
  • Country codes and destination information
  • Courier information
  • Order reference data
  • Tracker identifiers
  • Shipment status results returned by the Ship24 API

The add-on reads this information only from the active Google Sheet in which it is used and writes tracking results back to the same sheet.

Tracking data is transmitted to the Ship24 API solely for the purpose of retrieving shipment tracking results. No spreadsheet data is collected automatically or processed without user interaction.

The add-on stores the user’s Ship24 API key securely using Google Apps Script User Properties within the user’s Google account. The API key is not shared with other users and is not stored in separate external databases by the add-on itself.

The add-on does not access files outside the active spreadsheet, does not access Gmail, Drive files beyond the current sheet, contacts, or other personal account data, and does not perform background refresh or automated monitoring.

AI Assistant Integration (MCP)

When you use Ship24's tracking tools through a third-party AI assistant platform (such as ChatGPT via OpenAI's Apps/MCP integration), the following applies:

  • Account and authentication: this integration requires a valid Ship24 API key tied to your existing Ship24 account. Use of the integration relies on the account and authentication data already described in the Registration Data section above.
  • Per-query data: the tracking number you provide, and optionally the carrier name, destination postal code, and destination country code, to improve lookup accuracy.
  • Purpose: this data is used solely to retrieve and return the shipment's current status, most recent location, and event timeline in response to your query.
  • Third-party platform: your query and Ship24's response pass through the AI assistant platform (e.g., OpenAI) as part of that conversation. That platform's own privacy policy governs its handling of your conversation data.
  • Retention: consistent with our general retention policy, per-query data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the request.

Third-party content and social media plug-ins

We may use third-party content or social media plug-ins (for example Facebook). These features can allow you to interact with third-party services (for example like or comment). When loaded, plug-ins may create a direct connection between your device and the third-party provider’s servers, which may allow the provider to collect information about your visit (for example device and browser information, cookie identifiers, and IP address).

Transfer of personal data may occur regardless of whether you have an account with the provider, depending on how the provider’s technologies operate.

We do not control the extent of data collected by plug-in providers, the purposes of their processing, or their retention periods. For more information, please consult their privacy policies and settings.

Facebook Social Plugins

We use social plugins (plugins) from the social networking site: www.facebook.com, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta). Plugins can be identified by Meta/Facebook logos or by references to “Facebook Social Plugin”.
