How does the Tracking API & Webhook (Per-shipment plans) work?

Our Tracking API & Webhook (Per-shipment plans) solutions allow you to follow a certain amount of shipments per month and can be used to receive webhook notifications automatically in your system, fetch tracking updates from our system, or both.

We recommend Tracking API & Webhooks (Per-shipment plans) for most usages as it offer extensive features and faster-tracking information fetching, at a predictable cost.

What is the Shipment Tracking Dashboard?

The shipment tracking dashboard is a great complementary feature to your current Tracking API subscription to help you make the most out of our tracking API services.

With the Shipment Tracking Dashboard, you will have access on:

  • Monitoring all your shipments tracked by API.
  • Checking the status and events of any of your shipments.
  • Adding and importing your shipments manually.
  • Reporting any tracking issues to our support team in just two clicks!

Select the Tracking Dashboard option when you subscribe to a tracking API plan and have the first month on us.

Shipment Tracking Dashboard Option Pricing

After your 30-day free trial, you can opt to continue using the shipment tracking dashboard. If you don’t opt to continue with the shipment tracking dashboard option, your Tracking API will continue to work as usual, but you won’t be able to see and manage your shipment visually.

How do you measure the number of shipments?

To track packages, you will create what we call a “tracker” within our system, for each one of your shipments. Once a tracker is created to correspond with a specific package’s tracking number, Ship24’s universal tracking system will update you on its every move worldwide, even if the tracking number or couriers change on route.
Each tracker you use will count as one credit from your plan. No matter how long your parcel takes to deliver, every parcel you track will still only count as a single credit.

What payment methods do you support?

Ship24 accepts all major credit and debit cards and uses Stripe to process secure payments. Get in touch for alternative payment methods.

What happens if I go over my plan?

If you track more shipments than your plan specifies within a given billing period, you will be charged a small overage fee on a per-shipment basis. Overage fees will be added to your invoice for the following billing period.

Don't worry, it's perfectly fine to go over your plan, but if you consistently exceed your plan's limit by a large amount, you may want to consider upgrading.

How do I know I will go over my plan?

You will receive instant email notifications when approaching, reaching, and surpassing your plan's limits. You can also follow your usage in real-time in your dashboard.

Can I downgrade/upgrade my plan?

Yes, you can downgrade or upgrade your plan at any time. Regardless of whether you choose to downgrade or upgrade your plan, your new plan will take effect immediately.

When you downgrade your plan, your current plan will be cancelled automatically and your new plan will take effect right away without any service interruptions.

When you upgrade to a new plan, your existing plan will be cancelled automatically and any unused quotas from the old plan will be converted into credit. These credits will then be deducted from the total payment due for the new plan.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

Certainly! If you choose to cancel your plan from your dashboard, the cancellation will be effective at the end of your current monthly billing cycle.

You can still use your current plan until the end of your current monthly billing cycle but may be charged for any overages if any.

Can I switch from the Tracking API & Webhook plan to the Shipment Tracking Dashboard plan?

The Tracking API & Webhook (Per-shipment plan) and The Shipment Tracking Dashboard are two products that are incompatible with each other.

You’ll have two options when switching subscriptions from the Tracking API & Webhook plan to the Shipment Tracking Dashboard plan.

The first option is to cancel your existing plan normally, wait until your monthly billing cycle ends, and then subscribe to the plan you want.

The second option is available when the system detects that you have an incompatible plan and thus, requires you to cancel your current plan immediately before taking a new plan.

Before you switch from an incompatible plan, a message will be shown at the top of the “Continue” button. Click on “Cancel your current plan”, and a pop-up message will be shown to confirm that you want to cancel your current plan.

Keep in mind that when you click on “Cancel Now,” you will lose any remaining quota on your current plan and your new plan will come into effect.
