How to track DHL Paket

You can track DHL Paket on the official DHL tracking page or in the Post & DHL App. Enter your shipment number to see the latest scans and the expected delivery date. New events may take 24–48 hours to appear, especially before the first physical scan.

  • DHL website: Enter your shipment number on the DHL tracking page.
  • Post & DHL App: Store numbers, get push alerts, and manage delivery options.
  • Ship24: Useful if your parcel is handed to a partner abroad and you want a single view across carriers.

What the DHL Paket number looks like

Many DHL Paket numbers start with prefixes like 3S, JVGL, or JJD followed by digits. Remove spaces and dashes before searching; the number is printed near the barcode on the label and in your order email from the shipper. (Prefixes are commonly used across DHL’s parcel services.)

FAQs

Is DHL Paket the same as DHL Express?

No. DHL Paket is the parcel product family used in Germany for many cross-border consumer parcels. DHL Express is a time-definite courier network with different service levels and scanning patterns.

Can I add higher insurance to a DHL Paket?

Yes. For international parcels, a higher-value insurance add-on can raise coverage beyond EUR 500, up to EUR 5,000, subject to terms.

My tracking has not updated yet, what next?

New events can take 24–48 hours to post, especially before the first physical scan or during transfers between hubs. Check again later or use the app for notifications.

What if my parcel exceeds 120 × 60 × 60 cm?

Parcels above standard size or with special shapes (e.g., rolls) may incur surcharges; check business product pages for details or split the shipment if possible.

Does DHL Paket offer climate-friendly shipping?

For private senders, GoGreen offsets parcel emissions at no extra charge. Business products can upgrade to GoGreen Plus to reduce emissions within DHL’s own network.
