Enter your Yamato tracking number on Ship24 to check the latest available status of your parcel. You can track Yamato Transport, Kuroneko Yamato, TA-Q-BIN, International TA-Q-BIN, Nekopos, and related shipments from one search field. Ship24 can also help when a parcel involves more than one courier, especially for international deliveries or handovers after the parcel leaves Japan.

You can track a Yamato package by using Ship24, the official Yamato Transport tracking page, the Yamato app, or delivery details from the sender or online store. The best option depends on where the shipment is moving, which service was used, and whether another courier becomes involved during delivery.
Ship24 is useful when your Yamato shipment is part of a cross-border order or when the parcel may be passed to another carrier after leaving Japan. Instead of checking several courier websites, you can enter the tracking number once and follow the available updates from one page.
The official Yamato tracking page is helpful for domestic deliveries in Japan, redelivery information, sales office pickup, and delivery changes. Yamato also states that tracking information is available for approximately 90 days from the shipping date.
If you are in Japan, you may also use the Yamato app or Kuroneko Members services. These options can help you receive delivery notices, request redelivery, change the delivery date or time, or arrange pickup at a Yamato sales office when available. This is useful if your tracking status shows a missed delivery, hold request, or delivery schedule change.
Most Yamato tracking numbers use 12 digits. Yamato also notes that 11-digit tracking numbers may be used for multiple-parcel shipping labels. In many cases, tracking numbers are shown as digits only, but some senders display them with hyphens for readability.
Examples of Yamato tracking number formats include:
The hyphenated examples above still contain 12 digits when the hyphens are removed. For example, 4901-3192-3805 becomes 490131923805. If your Yamato tracking number is not working, try removing spaces or hyphens, then search again.
A Yamato tracking number may not work immediately if the parcel has just been created, the sender has not handed it to Yamato yet, or the first scan has not been registered. It may also fail if the number was entered incorrectly, if the tracking information is older than about 90 days, or if the shipment uses another courier after a handover.
If Ship24 cannot find your Yamato package, check the number for typing errors, remove hyphens or extra spaces, and try again later. You can also read Ship24’s parcel cannot be found guide for common reasons why tracking results do not appear.
Yamato tracking statuses show the parcel’s movement from shipment registration to delivery. Some statuses are used for domestic TA-Q-BIN shipments, while others may appear for international shipments, delivery changes, redelivery requests, or sales office pickup.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Indication for shipment | Shipment information has been created or sent to the carrier. The parcel may not have been physically accepted yet. |
| Shipment Accepted | The parcel has been accepted into the Yamato network or received for processing. |
| Shipped Out | The parcel has left a Yamato location and is moving toward the next facility or destination area. |
| In Transit | The parcel has passed through a relay point or is moving between Yamato locations. |
| Request Accepted (On Hold) | A request to hold the parcel has been accepted. The parcel may be kept at a Yamato location until the next delivery step. |
| Request Accepted (Alternate Delivery Schedule Arranged) | A delivery date or time change request has been accepted. The parcel should be delivered based on the new requested schedule. |
| Delivery Attempted (Business Closed) | Yamato tried to deliver the parcel, but the delivery location was closed. A new attempt or redelivery arrangement may be needed. |
| Stored until delivery date | The parcel is being held until the scheduled delivery date. |
| Delivered | The parcel has been delivered. For some international shipments, this may refer to delivery to a forwarding partner before final delivery abroad. |
Yamato tracking may stop updating for a short time when a parcel is between scans, waiting for the next delivery process, held until a scheduled delivery date, or affected by a delivery change request. International shipments may update less often because customs checks, airline movement, destination-country handling, and partner carriers can add extra steps.
If the last update is recent, wait and check again later. If the status has not changed for several days, review the tracking history to see whether the parcel is in customs, on hold, out for delivery, or waiting for pickup. For more help, read Ship24’s where is my package guide.
A Yamato package can be delayed by road conditions, high parcel volume, severe weather, natural disasters, customs inspections, incomplete waybill details, address problems, or local holidays. Yamato FAQ says that an “Out for Delivery” status means the sales driver is carrying the parcel, but delivery may still be delayed by traffic, local restrictions, natural disasters, or heavy delivery volume during holiday periods.
For domestic parcels in Japan, check whether the package has reached the delivery sales office, whether a delivery attempt was made, or whether the parcel is stored until a requested delivery date. For international parcels, check whether the parcel is waiting for customs clearance, export processing, airline movement, or delivery by a partner courier in the destination country.
Domestic Yamato tracking is usually more detailed because the parcel stays within the delivery network Yamato. You may see updates such as shipment accepted, departure scan, in transit, arrival scan, out for delivery, delivery attempted, hold at Yamato, or delivered. If a recipient changes the delivery date, time, or pickup location, the tracking page may also show request-related statuses.
International TA-Q-BIN is used for overseas shipments from Japan. Tracking can include acceptance in Japan, export handling, customs-related steps, delivery to a freight forwarder, and final delivery by a destination-country partner. Yamato explains that international shipments are subject to import and export rules in each country, and delivery time can change because of customs inspection, parcel condition, weather, or destination-country handling.
If your Yamato international package stops updating after leaving Japan, it may have moved to a partner carrier. Ship24 can help you continue checking available updates from different couriers from one tracking page.
TA-Q-BIN is the main parcel delivery service Yamato in Japan. It is commonly used for personal parcels, eCommerce orders, and business shipments. Tracking usually follows the parcel from pickup or acceptance to sorting, delivery, and completion.
International TA-Q-BIN is used for shipments from Japan to overseas destinations. Tracking may involve customs, export processing, freight partners, and local delivery companies. Because of this, international updates may take longer to appear than domestic Yamato updates.
Nekopos is used for small items that can be delivered to a mailbox. It is often used by online sellers and marketplaces. Tracking may show fewer delivery steps than a standard parcel because the package is usually posted directly to the recipient’s mailbox.
Kuroneko Yu-Packet and Kuroneko Yu-Mail involve cooperation with Japan Post. Yamato announced that Kuroneko Yu-Packet became available nationwide from February 1, 2025, and that these items are delivered through Japan Post’s delivery network to the mailbox in around 3 days to 1 week. Because of this handover model, delivery timing and tracking behavior may differ from standard Yamato TA-Q-BIN shipments.
In early 2026, Yamato announced temporary delivery suspensions and possible delays for International TA-Q-BIN and UPS Worldwide Express Saver during the Lunar New Year period. Affected destinations included Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau. Yamato also noted that customs and delivery delays could occur in other countries and regions, especially before and after the holiday because of higher cargo volume.
Yamato also announced that International TA-Q-BIN and UPS Worldwide Express Saver deliveries could be delayed from April 28, 2026 to May 6, 2026 because of customs office closures and export congestion during Golden Week. Parcels accepted before the period could still be delayed if waybill or invoice information was incomplete.
From April 12, 2026, Yamato changed the waybill rules for International TA-Q-BIN shipments to Vietnam. Senders need to enter a correct 5-digit postal code, place the province in the city field, and include the full address from commune or ward through province. If these details are missing or incorrect, customs or delivery processing may take longer.
Yamato Transport, also known as Kuroneko Yamato, is a major Japanese delivery company founded in 1919. It is widely recognized for its black cat logo and its TA-Q-BIN parcel delivery service. Yamato handles domestic deliveries across Japan, international shipments, small-parcel services, business logistics, and delivery options for travelers, online shoppers, and companies.
Yamato is commonly used by Japanese retailers, marketplace sellers, businesses, and individuals sending parcels within Japan. For overseas shipments, Yamato may work with international delivery partners depending on the destination and service used.
If your Yamato package is delayed, missing, or marked as delivered but not received, prepare your tracking number before contacting Yamato or the sender. If the order came from an online store, contact the seller first because they may have shipment details, recipient address information, or service-level information that is not visible on the public tracking page.
If the tracking status shows a failed delivery attempt, business closed, or held parcel, check whether you can request redelivery, change the delivery time, or collect the parcel from a Yamato sales office. Before visiting a sales office, confirm that the tracking status says the parcel is ready for pickup.
Yamato tracking information is available for approximately 90 days from the shipping date. If the shipment is older than this, the tracking number may no longer show results on the official Yamato tracking page or other tracking tools.
Yes. If your tracking number is written with hyphens, you can remove them and enter the digits only. For example, 4901-3192-3805 can be entered as 490131923805.
Check the delivery location, mailbox, reception desk, building office, parcel locker, or nearby pickup point. If you still cannot find the package, contact the sender or Yamato with your tracking number and delivery details.
This means Yamato tried to deliver the parcel, but the business address was closed at the time of delivery. Check the tracking page for redelivery options or contact the sender or Yamato to arrange the next delivery step.
This usually means the parcel is being held until the scheduled delivery date. This can happen when a delivery date has been requested by the sender, recipient, or service settings.
In many domestic delivery cases, Yamato allows delivery date or time changes through its official services, app, or Kuroneko Members options. Availability depends on the parcel, service type, delivery stage, and recipient information.
Kuroneko Yu-Packet is handled through cooperation between Yamato and Japan Post. Yamato accepts and processes the shipment, while delivery may use Japan Post’s network and mailbox delivery model.
Ship24 can help check available tracking updates when a Yamato shipment involves another courier. This is useful for international shipments, marketplace orders, and parcels that move from Yamato to a local delivery partner.
