What are the different types of delivery proposed by Lietuvos Paštas ?

The lithuanian courier offers 3 different types of delivery:

  • The registered, which is the most popular.
  • The priority, that offers the shorter delivery time (from 1 to 3 days).
  • The economical, with a delivery time between 2 and 4 days.

What is LP Express?

LP Express is a fast service offered by Lietuvos Paštas. This service present different advantages:

  • The courier can pick up the Lietuvos Paštas shipment from your home or from an office, you don’t need to go somewhere to drop your Lithuania Post parcel. It is really convenient if you don’t have the time or if you just don’t want to go outside.
  • This service delivers quickly your Lietuvos Paštas packagein Lithuania and also abroad.

The rules for the parcels delivery with the LP Express are different in Lithuania and abroad:

When you ship in Lithuania:

  • The parcels can weigh up to 30 kilos and the maximum weight when a Lithuania Post package is sent from the sender’s address to a lithuanian post office is 10 kilos.
  • The shipping price varies from 2,58€ to 11,99€ for packages from less than 1 kilo to 30 kilos.

When you want to send abroad:

  • The parcels can weigh up to 30 kilos but the maximum weight varies according to the country where you want to deliver.
  • The Lietuvos Paštas shipping fees vary according to the country where you want to deliver your parcel, you can have an idea of these fees by checking your targeted country by clicking here.
  • The time it takes for the delivery varies according to the country but shouldnt exceed 12 days maximum.

How to track my Lietuvos paštas order?

Lietuvos Paštas tracking is an easy process that you can realise through the Lietuvos Paštas website. You just need to enter the tracking number in the section “tracking tracks”, also called in lithuanian “Siuntų sekimas”.

The Lithuania Post tracking number is composed of 13 characters: two capital letters at the beginning followed by 9 numbers and two more letters “LT” at the end. The tracking number will vary according to the number of kilos and according to the courier partner used:

  • When you send a small package (less than 2 kilos), the tracking number will start with the capital letter “R”.
  • When you send a package over 2 kilos, the tracking number will start with the capital letter “C”.
  • When the package is sent in partnership, through EMS, the tracking number will start with the letter E and the combination of the two letters LT at the end indicates that the lithuanian guard service belongs.

To find your courier express mail item, you can use the search tool on the LP Express website (https://www.lpexpress.lt/). You just need to enter the LT tracking number composed of 12 or 13 characters that can be found on the receipt issued in the post office.

Finally, you can also go on the Ship24 website and enter in the search bar the LT tracking number to know exactly where your Lithuania Post order is and the next steps of the delivery with all the precisions.

How long does Lietuvos Paštas shipment take?

For priority delivery, you will receive your Lithuania Post parcel from 1 to 3 days. The economical option is less fast, you should receive your parcel between 2 and 4 days. The shipment sent through LP Express in Lithuania reaches the recipients in only one business day. This service which is also available abroad will take a bit longer for the delivery.

What should I do if my Lietuvos paštas parcel is late ?

Usually in Lithuania, the postal service works 6 days per week from 8AM till 4PM. If your Lietuvos Paštas order is delivered with delay or if unfortunately your Lietuvos Paštas package is lost, it is better to contact the call center at the following number: +370 5 233 3060 or by email at the following address: info@post.lt. The call center is available from Monday to Friday from 8AM to 8PM and Saturday from 9 am to 4PM.

If your package is damaged at the arrival, the postal staff will put an appropriate plastic bag to prevent your order from other new damages. Your item will be marked with the mention “Arrived with damage” (Gauta praplėšta). If this mention is not present and your package has arrived with damage, you have to advise the post office that delivered the package at your address.
