Ship24 is a renowned brand in the field of logistics and like many other big logistics companies, Ship24 is a natural target for scammers. Ship24 is facing a severe global scam and phishing attack. We are currently taking urgent measures to stop malicious websites and emails being sent to email addresses collected from email lists obtained online. We are also trying our best to eliminate these phishing attempts by working with authorities.

Please be aware that any message that claims your package delivery was unsuccessful and requests your personal and payment information is likely to be a fraudulent attempt.

This is the typical email sent by scammers (there are other versions). You can notice that the scammers have done a detailed job of impersonating Ship24 by using the Ship24 trademarked logo and placing an out-of-focus Ship24 logo on the delivery van:

Ship24 Email Scam

The links embedded in the email redirect to seemingly random websites on which you will be asked to enter your personal information and credit card details to receive your package. Of course, there is no package involved and it’s an excuse used to capture your sensitive information.

Typically, the scammers will ask for a small payment of $1.95 as a condition to either release or reschedule the delivery of a package, although it's important to note that there is no actual package. In some instances, after a few days or weeks, the scammers may then proceed to charge your credit card with several hundred dollars.

How can I determine if an email from Ship24 is legitimate?

  • Ship24 does not ask for payments in exchange for package delivery. If you receive an email requesting money for package delivery, it is a scam.
  • Verify that the sender's email address ends with ship24.com. Ship24 exclusively sends emails from addresses within its ship24.com domain. Make sure that any links provided in the email direct you to the ship24.com website.
  • If you need to make any payments for Ship24 services, reassure they are made on the secure ship24.com domain or subdomain.

How can you protect yourself and assist others in avoiding scams?

When it comes to protecting yourself and others from scams, staying alert and taking proactive steps is important. Fortunately, there are some simple actions we can take to defend against scams and help others do the same. Below are some steps you can take to protect yourself:

  1. Check that the sender's email address is from ship24.com. If it isn't, refrain from clicking on any links provided in the email.
  2. Take action by reporting the email as spam or scam through Gmail or your email service provider.
  3. If you're willing and able, consider reporting the scam to your local police department or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

In the event that you clicked on the email link:

  • Avoid providing any personal information and refrain from making any payments.
  • Take immediate action by reporting the email as spam and to the authorities.

In the event that you have made the payment as requested:

  • Contact your bank or credit card provider right away to request the cancellation of the transaction. The faster individuals report these fraudulent transactions, the sooner the scammer's account will be shut down.
  • Keep a close eye on your credit card statement in the upcoming months, as scammers may attempt to charge your card with multiple transactions amounting to several hundred US Dollars within the next few days or weeks.
  • If you are worried about potential future charges, you can request your bank to issue you a new credit card.
  • Within your email system, mark the email as a scam and/or fraud and report it accordingly.
